چکیده

The work is devoted to the problem of diagnosing automobile internal combustion engines. The controlling condition engines now most relevantbecause increasing number cars and tightening environmental requirements. paperconsiders consequences a faulty engine. aim todevelop method that can help detect fault accurately quickly. With advent ofmodern technologies long known estimationby sound become advanced, as human factor excluded, for signal processingthe computer techniques spectrum analysis which carried out by means ofartificial neural networks are applied. application artificial analyzingthe has found in speech recognition respiratorydiseases. In article mechanisms capable generate signals during internalcombustion engine considered, some them phased i.e. connected workingstrokes, not phased. proposed diagnostics allows selecting"useful" sounds from total noises and, after comparative analysis, pointingto node whose differs reference, serviceable one. Scientific novelty lies factthat diagnostic process becomes automated, all recorded sensors processedin or special scanner, display shows information about certainnodes, contrast traditional methods where diagnosis visually ear. Thisincreases accuracy reduces overall labor intensity eliminating partial completeengine disassembly

Cylinder Pressures and Vibration in Internal Combustion Engine Condition Monitoring

Abstract: We focus on the detection of incipient faults in an internal combustion engine using a minimum number of sensory information. Inducing several faults in a 4 stroke diesel engine, cylinder pressure (P) and vibration (V) data are acquired. Two sets of artificial neural nets (ANN) are trained separately, using features from the pressure and vibration data. Both sets of nets show very goo...

Monitoring and Control of an Internal Combustion Engine

This paper describes work in progress involving the development of techniques for use in enhanced internalcombustion engine-management systems for application in motor vehicles. The aim is to improve the control of the engine by the application of intelligent-systems techniques, thus leading to reduced exhaust emissions and improved fuel economy. A neural-network technique is described for the ...

LES of spray and combustion in an internal combustion engine

With the ever rising need for better fuel efficiency and lower emissions, the development of better engine technology is essential. Different strategies are being considered to increase engine efficiency, such as direct injection or downsizing. Certain regimes are clearly identified as optimal for certain range of loads. For gasoline engines, the Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) c...

Energetic and Exergetic Analysis of Internal Combustion Engine Cogeneration System

In this article, the first and second law analysis of diesel engine based cogeneration system was performed. Fuel utilization efficiency, rate of power, and rate of process heat of the plant were determined and various efficiencies based on both energy and exergy methods and the performance assessment parameters are defined for both the system components and the entire cogeneration plant. The o...
